Day 1 — May I Be Filled With Love - Soul Fitted: 7-Day Metta Flow Challenge

Day 1 — May I Be Filled With Love - Soul Fitted: 7-Day Metta Flow Challenge

Welcome to Day 1 of the Soul Fitted: 7-Day Metta Flow Challenge, where rhythm meets reflection, and movement becomes medicine.

We’re starting this challenge with the foundation of self-love. Because before you can show up for anyone else, you’ve got to learn how to show up for you.

This isn’t about striking perfect poses or chasing some peaceful illusion. It’s about getting real, about learning to feel your own energy, to breathe like you know that you belong here.

Let’s Set the Tone

“May I be filled with love.”

Say it like you mean it.

Say it as you inhale, fill yourself up with that bright, loving energy that feels like home.
Exhale anything that isn’t serving you, anything that doesn’t feel like love.
Keep filling up and emptying out until that vibration of love starts to hum through your body.

Know that this is a practice, not a performance.
Set your timer for five minutes.
Some days you’ll feel it instantly. Other days, you’ll be searching for it. Either way, it’s working.

Show up. Breathe. Let the love find you where you are.

This is where we start: raw, rooted, and real.

The Flow: Grounded, Open, and Real

Keep it easy. Keep it intentional. This flow is about connection; each pose leads into the next like verses in a track that builds and breathes with you.  Make sure you take your time and enjoy the flow.

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

Start standing tall, feet planted and grounded. Roll your shoulders back and down, let that tension slide right off. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, filling your lungs like you mean it. Hold it at the top for a beat, then let it go slowly through your mouth. Do that three times: filling up, letting go, getting present.

As you breathe, feel your feet rooting deep into the earth, steady and unshakable. Let your spine lengthen as much as it is comfortable, energy rising through the crown of your head. You are your own foundation: strong, steady, and unapologetic. Own that energy. Stand in it.

2. Forward Fold (Uttanasana)

From Mountain Pose, exhale and hinge at your hips. Let your head and arms hang heavy, no tension, no control, just release. Feel gravity working with you, not against you. This is your moment to drop what you’ve been carrying, the weight, the worry, the what-ifs. Let it all fall away.

Move through this 3 to 5 times, syncing breath with motion. Each fold a little deeper, a little freer.

3. Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana)

Inhale and lift halfway, hands on your shins or fingertips on the floor — wherever your flexibility meets your truth today. Lengthen your spine, open your chest, and roll your shoulders back and down. Extend energy through the crown of your head, creating space for love to move in.

On the exhale, fold forward again. Repeat.

After your 3 to 5 rounds with each pose, bring it all together:
Mountain Pose (Tadasana) → Forward Fold (Uttanasana) → Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana) → Repeat 3 to 5 times.

Let it flow. Let it feel good.

4. Savasana (Corpse Pose)

Lie back. Let your arms and legs fall open. Close your eyes. Let the mat hold you completely.

If that doesn’t feel right today, no worries, sit in a chair, plant your feet, and let yourself be supported there. The point is stillness, not perfection.

Do. Not. Skip. This.
This is where your body integrates everything you just moved through. The stillness is the work. Let your breath slow down. Let your thoughts soften. Let love settle in.

This is the moment your body catches up to everything you just told it.
Savasana is the exhale after all the effort; it’s where the healing sinks in.
Skipping it is like walking out before the encore; you miss the transformation.

Stay here a while. Let your breath slow down. Feel the quiet filling you up with love.

Soul Reflection: Loving Yourself Louder

When the movement stops, the reflection starts.

Ask yourself:

“What does love for myself look like when no one’s watching?”

Get honest with it. Maybe love looks like rest. Maybe it looks like saying no. Maybe it’s forgiving yourself for not being “there” yet.

However it shows up, that’s your truth.

Affirm it:

“I am worthy of my own love.”
“I am learning to treat myself like someone I’m responsible for loving.”

This is your Day 1 energy: grounded, centered, and unapologetic.
Every day after this in the Soul Fitted: 7-Day Metta Flow Challenge expands that same love outward. But today, it starts right here with you.

Share the Vibe

You know the drill.
Post a lyric, mantra, or reflection that helps you love yourself louder and tag it with #SoulFittedMettaFlow.

Let your truth be seen. Let your vibe be felt.
Somebody out there needs that kind of energy today.

“May I be filled with love: not just in stillness, but in every step, every song, every breath that reminds me I’m already whole.”
